International Translator's Day founded the International Federation of Translators in 1991 and is celebrated annually on September 30. On this day, Sept. 30 420, died Jerome Stridonsky, one of the four Latin Fathers of the Church, writer, historian and translator. For years, he translated the Old and New Testaments into Latin and, moreover, it is believed that Jerome was the creator of the Glagolitic.
